We offer classes, groups, events

The Family Birth Center of Naples offers many classes, workshops, meetings, and events on a monthly basis.  You do not have to be a client of the birth center to register for any of these, but a small fee may apply.

Childbirth Education Classes-  This is an ongoing series of classes.These classes will prepare you for natural birth in any surrounding. Come learn how a woman's body works and functions with the baby during labor and master pain management techniques that will help you achieve your ultimate birth experience. The classes are designed for the mother and her support person to attend together, however, this is not required. A small fee applies to those patient's not delivering at the birth center. Breastfeeding Classes-  Held once every seven weeks following the CBE series.  Learn breastfeeding techniques and how-to’s and advice on how to overcome obstacles, should they occur.

Nutrition Workshop-  Held monthly.  Devoted to teaching healthy nutrition for pregnancy, lactation, and families. This is a very comprehensive nutrition class that not only covers healthy foods to eat during pregnancy, but beneficial supplements to take as well. This information can also apply to everyone as a whole, not just the pregnant woman, so bring friends and family if you wish! A small fee applies to those patient's not delivering at the birth center. Please call the birth center to register if you are not a patient.

Baby Care Classes-  Offered on demand for new parents wanting to know the basics for caring for their newborn. First time parents wanting more information regarding baby care will benefit from this class. Fee applies. Please call the birth centr to register.

"Happiest Baby on the Block" & Infant Massage Classes-  This class is offered every 7 weeks. It is for ALL parents to master techniques for helping your baby sleep and learn infant massage techniques to create bonding while also improving their physical and emotional health. There is a fee for this class. Please call Phyllis at 261-3768 to register.

Baby Cafe-  Meets twice monthly.  For new moms with babies from N-12 months.  Discussions of appropriate topics presented by each group member. Come socialize with other like-minded mothers in a support group forum. All mothers will be grouped according to their baby's ages. Snacks are provided. No fee applies. Please call the birth center to register.

Choices Workshop- Learn about the difference between programmed choices and thought-filled choices, and how completing just seven steps can change your life toward a more positive path. This is a 2 hour workshop for those who are interested in personal development. This is not a class just for pregnant women but applies to EVERYONE. This workshop is offered on demand, but please check the calender to see if there is a class scheduled. This is a fee-based class. Please call Carol at 872-2848 to register.
