Attending a childbirth education class is the primary way to prepare you and your partner for labor, birth and arrival of your baby. This is the training for one of the most monumental and physical laborious events in your life. Compare this to the NFL playbook each team memorized and practiced before the Super Bowl. This is the class that will bring you and your partner the confidence for a natural birth and ease the anticipatory anxiety of what to do and how to do it during labor. In this class you will learn:

  • Physiology of labor/birth

  • Recognizing stages/phases of labor

  • Relaxation & pain-reducing techniques

  • Labor/birth fear-clearing techniques

  • When to contact your provider/go to birth center

  • Role of your partner during labor/labor support techniques

  • Common labor/birth scenarios

  • Common procedures/interventions

  • Immediate postpartum for mom & baby

  • Interactive activities for labor practice
