Attending a childbirth education class is the primary way to prepare you and your partner for labor, birth and arrival of your baby. This is the training for one of the most monumental and physical laborious events in your life and this is the class that will bring you and your partner the confidence for a natural (and sometimes medicated) birth and ease the anticipatory anxiety of what to do and how to do it during labor. In this class you will learn:

  • Recognizing stages/phases of labor

  • Relaxation & pain-reducing techniques

  • Creating calm in your birth space

  • Labor/birth fear-clearing techniques

  • When to contact your provider/go to birth center

  • Role of your partner during labor/labor support techniques

  • Immediate postpartum for mom & baby

  • Interactive activities for labor practice
